Canon IXUS 300HS is the first compact camera equipped with four standard manual shooting modes (shutter priority, aperture priority, full manual mode, program mode) and the new technology HS System.

Meaning HS System is a combination of a highly sensitive 10-megapixel CMOS-sensor, illuminated from the substrate (back-illuminated CMOS sensor), and the graphics processor DIGIC 4. With this bundle camera can capture images of good quality even in low light conditions. In part, this serves the same purpose and a wide range of supported values of sensitivity: from 125 up to 3200 ISO.

Canon IXUS 300HS features a wide angle (focal length of 28-105 mm in 35-millimeter equivalent) optically stabilized zoom lens, 3-inch 230,000 pixel resolution, flash, plug USB, memory card slot for SD, SDHC, SDXC.

The camera allows not only pictures but also record videos at 720p and 30 frames per second. There’s also slow-motion video – with a frequency of 240 frames per second. However, the resolution in this case can not exceed 320 x 240 pixels. The maximum duration of the video in any video mode limited to 1 hour or 4 GB. With built-in connector Mini HDMI camera can be connected to flat panel TVs.
