A Japanese fruit-ripening company believes playing Mozart music to its bananas makes for a sweeter product.
Delivered from the Philippines to the Toyoka Chuo Seika firm, the company plays various tunes by the legendary composer to the fruit over the course of a week to sweeten the produce while it ripens.
And it would appear the tactic is working as sales of the "Mozart Bananas" have risen in comparison to last year's fruit, which were ripened without the addition of any music.
Isamu Okuda - who works for the firm - explained Bach, Beethoven, jazz and other musical genres were all experimented with, but nothing was as effective as the Mozart magic.source: FemaleFirst
