Parish Church of Emmaus (Emmaus-Kirche), built 750 years ago and located in the German village Hoyersdorf (Heuersdorf), will now have to find another place for prayer. Building weighing 660 tons will be carried entirely on a special platform in the nearby town of Bourne (Borna), which is located 12 km from the previous location. This decision was made in connection with coal mining, which is under the church. Projections of the date of the final move – 31 October. The cost of transportation will be around 3 million euros.
